SUNDOG UHF TAGS FOR ROUGH WOOD SURFACES
UTILITY COMPOSITES, Inc., maker of SUNDOG® UHF RFID tags, is a quality driven company that is proud to offer world class products and fastening solutions to a broad spectrum of market and industry segments. Our tags are made in the USA and marketed and sold worldwide through a dual strategy of both direct sales and a select group of industrial distributors strategically positioned around the world.
SUNDOG® is a state-of-the-art UHF RFID tag designed to solve two problems for tracking assets with rough wood surfaces: 1) adhesives do not stay fixed to the rough surface, so adhesive RFID tags cannot be used; and 2) other tags that may attach to rough wood surfaces are expensive as well as time consuming to install. With SUNDOG®, tags stay in place through rough transport and outdoor conditions, and tags are collated for quick installation using special tackers. SUNDOG® provides an economical solution for asset tagging of logs and lumber, pallets, utility poles and railroad ties.
A microchip, such as the Monza, is embedded into each tag so that the unique identifier and any data written to the microchip can be instantly captured when the load comes into proximity with an RFID scanner.
The Monza chip is a UHF Gen 2 chip with memory (EPC 128 bits, User 32 bits, TID 96 bits) and multi-read/write capability.
Install Sundog tags quickly and easily with your choice of either the pneumatic OMER RFID.25 stapler or the HT-RFID manual tacker.
